Hi Everyone,

Here's an interesting approach to an allergy by Aristides Molina - Dunas from Venezuela. Note how he applies EFT to his client's BELIEF about his allergy. Interesting.

Hugs, Gary

By Aristides Molina - Dunas

During a Points of Light meeting we hold regularly at the Botanical Gardens in Caracas, we had the opportunity of working on Robert’s allergies, a youth of 14 who came to visit.

While we were having our meal, Robert came to where we were seated and I offered him some juice. He told me that if it was orange juice he couldn’t drink it and proceeded to explain why. Here is a summary. He doesn’t drink OJ because on previous occasions he has suffered adverse reactions like diarrhea, upset stomach, vomiting and edema of the glottis (swelling of the windpipe entrance that can cause asphyxia). Doctors diagnosed him with an allergy to oranges and he hasn’t tasted them since. His allergy includes irritation of the colon, vomiting and dizziness, among other symptoms, and it had caused him great discomfort on previous occasions.

His mother, to whom I applied EFT for her issue of abandonment, and the people that had invited him, urged him to try EFT with me for his allergy to oranges.

I didn’t pressure him; I only asked him if he wanted to try it. It was a rather tricky case, since a possible failure to respond to the technique could lead to his allergic reaction. I noted that there were more than 25 therapists present and there was a hospital just 300 yards away, and felt more at ease.

Robert, although totally convinced that he couldn’t drink OJ, still decided to try EFT, encouraged by those that had already done and/or learned EFT with me. We started off with a 10 on a scale of 0 to 10, on his belief that he was allergic. We used the following set-up phrase:

Although I believe I’m allergic to orange juice, I accept and approve of myself deeply and completely.

After the first round with set-up and the sequence from eyebrow to under the arm, he went down to a 7 out of 10. I kept working on him, this time without any set-up, but with the same sequence and he went down to 5 out of 10.

I applied an intuitive round that included points on the top of the head and the sternum, in addition to some points from the previous sequence. He went down to 1 out of 10.

I asked him to remember the allergic symptoms he had previously had, but I couldn’t raise his belief that he was allergic to orange juice. For him, that was a thing of the past. In fact, while I was questioning him, he went down to zero. We did a floor-to-ceiling eye roll to finish the treatment. Then I asked him if he wanted to have some orange juice. He nodded readily.

He drank a glass of OJ and we continued for 45 minutes more without Robert showing any signs of an allergic reaction. Previously, the symptoms would have appeared after 10 minutes.

After 15 days, Robert was still enjoying his orange juice, to the amazement of many. The allergy has disappeared completely.

Kind regards, Dunas
