Hi Everyone,

Here's a useful "EFT First Aid" tip from Arinda Davis. Several days after applying EFT for her sunburn she says, "Then it occurred to me that the burn I had gotten on my shoulders had never materialized. It had gone away so completely that I had forgotten I had ever had it. After I tapped, there was no redness, soreness, or itching." Please consult physicians on all medical issues.

Hugs, Gary

Hi Gary and friends,

I would like to tell you about a small, but much appreciated success I had with EFT.

A couple of weeks ago, I spent the afternoon going in and out of buildings on a very sunny and hot day. Late in the afternoon I began to feel a familiar irritation and looked in the mirror to see that my shoulders were red, as well as the skin all across my back between my hair and my shirt. I knew what this meant. It would get a little worse, then the redness would fade and the itchiness would set in. It would itch miserably for a week, then peel. I decided that this time would be different.

I began to tap on the symptoms I was feeling first:

Even though I have this red skin on my shoulders... (I pictured the whole area across my back while I was tapping, too)...

Even though I have this irritated, burned skin on my shoulders...

Next, I tapped on the fact that I was feeling stupid for getting sunburned. I should have known better and not worn a wide necked shirt, and maybe should have used some sunscreen.

Even though I should have known better...

Even though I should have worn a different shirt, I know I burn easily this time of year, How many times does this have to happen before I remember?, Why didn't I think of protecting myself?, I know better than to go outside without sunscreen, I should have known that would happen, I should have worn sunscreen.

Then I decided to tap on my body's ability to heal itself:

Even though I have this sunburn, I know that my body can heal itself and I thank it for healing itself perfectly and quickly...

Reminder phrases: this sunburn, this red, sore sunburn, this irritated skin, I know my body can heal itself perfectly, I thank my body for healing itself perfectly and quickly.

I had to start dinner at that point, so I stopped tapping and figured I would continue later if I needed to.

Several days later, I found myself scratching a small red area on my chest and wondered what it was. I looked in the mirror and it looked like a quarter-sized spot of sunburn. I wondered how I had gotten sunburned there, then remembered my day out in the sun. My shirt was v-necked and apparently I had also gotten a little burn on my chest.

Then it occurred to me that the burn I had gotten on my shoulders had never materialized. It had gone away so completely that I had forgotten I had ever had it. After I tapped, there was no redness, soreness, or itching. The only reason I even remembered it at all was that I didn't know I had this little spot of burn on my chest and therefore didn't include it in my tapping. Even this spot healed nicely, though. It never hurt and only itched mildly for a day or two.

EFT is such a wonderful tool for healing us in so many ways!
