Hi Everyone,

This message from Carol Angell speaks for itself.

Hi Gary,

I am a devoted EFTer who hasn't written in many months. I want to share some wonderful experiences that I have had using this technique. I'll try not to be too long winded, but I could go on and on. Every day I see big changes in the lives of people all around me. I drove through Sea Ranch last week and thought of you in that beautiful place. I guess that that is as good as any place to start as any.

I flew up to San Francisco to start my trip to Mendocino. Next to me sat a women who was clearly terrified. I asked her "A little flying anxiety? to which she replied "I'm terrified and I guess I always will be!" That was a perfect opening for me for I replied "Not necessarily, I know a quick easy way to get rid of your fear." She looked at me with wide eyes and asked what it was. I gave her a very brief description of EFT and said "You want to try it?"

She was so scared I suspect she would have stood on her head if it would have helped. I did a brief short version of EFT with her and she immediately felt major relief. She looked at me with disbelief. Later she said she'd looked out the window for the first time. She had planned to have a double drink to calm her and forgot and ordered juice. She kept marveling "Wow, that turbulence would have really scared me." Needless to say she became an immediate devotee. I spent the entire trip teaching her the basics and she got relief from a couple of other big issues as she practiced. She took my name and number and left the plane with a big grin on her face. I really enjoyed that. I know you completely understand the joy of having a few minutes change a persons life.

I work as a MFT in San Diego. Recently a man came to me with severe agoraphobia. He had trouble getting to my office and it was having a huge impact on him both economically and socially. In the first session I did an intake evaluation. In the second he learned EFT and we did it on a pain in his back that he gave a suds rating of 9. In one round, he couldn't find it any more. We were going to start going after his extreme anxiety when he returned. He left with EFT instructions in his hand.

Two weeks later he returned with a glow. He said he'd used EFT night and day for two weeks and his agoraphobia was gone. We searched around for more aspects and couldn't find any. I said, "So you are as good as before this happened?" 'He replied "No--way better than that." He told me a long list of things he'd tapped on with huge success. It was clear that he did not need me but had mastered the art of cleaning out his own distress. It amazed me...and he was incredibly grateful. What a gift.

I want to share one more story. This one is far more personal. In trying to get to the roots of my compulsive eating I decided to treat it as a low level anxiety disorder. Michelle La Prise and I tap together every week. During our sessions I began to go after my earliest distress. For 25 years, I have done emotional healing work mostly involving the expression of emotion. From that work I knew that my earliest trauma was at ten months old when my mother nearly died and was hospitalized and unable to care for me for months.

Every time I told the story I would hit a suds of 10--even after years of work. It was still fresh and I could cry with the intensity of a small baby if given permission and safety. With Michelle I accessed that suds and the heavy crying and then tapped. Half way though the sequence I had an experience unlike any other during tapping (or any other time). It was as if the old familiar grief and fear flew out of me in a huge whoosh. I burst into tears of joy. I almost got up and danced around. I never knew what it would be like to walk around without that low level pain always in me. Now it is suddenly gone. I am different.

On our trip to Northern California, my sister who is 6 years older, commented on the change in me and how anxiety free I seem. I had been much more anxious than she is and now I realized that she too carries trauma from the same childhood event. I mentioned it to her and her chronic tears immediately came up. We went to the beach and she asked me to help her clear up the impact on the huge childhood event on her. It was wonderful. Another gift. My sister is now using EFT with her ADD husband. The ripples of this will reach around the world.

Oh, yes, I also got rid of my life long car sickness on the coast drive. It was quite a trip.

On Monday I did an introductory talk on EFT to a University class. I want to share the word. I hope this hasn't been too long for you.
