A couple of one minute wonders - fear of heights and feeling dizzy

Hello Gary,

I am always amazed by how much EFT helps so many situations.  Your newsletter is an inspiration as well as invaluable learning tool.

I just wanted to chime in with a couple of One Minute Wonders.  The first involved me, a fear of heights, being trapped, and basically doing something I wasn't comfortable with.  My husband talked me into going on a ski lift type of ride over a zoo in Phoenix.  I wasn't in love with the idea but agreed. 

We no sooner got off the ground and I was overwhelmed with fear and the need to get off the darned tram.  I even wondered how ferocious those camels would be should a human just sort of drop into their pen! 

Within seconds I was doing EFT, with a quick setup saying, Even though I can't breath, heart pounding, desert-dry mouth, husband anger (he got me into this mess).  With a few rounds of EFT I was feeling much better.  About a quarter of the way into the ride I was enjoying it enough to stop tapping and take pictures. 

What's more, as we were heading back I saw a young woman obviously in distress and shouted out for her to keep tapping her karate chop point, that it would make her feel better.  Sure enough she caught up with me later in the zoo and told me how much it had helped her by calming her fear of heights.

The second story occurred recently.  I was passing by a woman in a store as she fell against her partner saying she was very dizzy.  She was very upset and in tears.  I put my things down and asked if she'd mind letting me try to help.  I tried to get her to repeat the setup of, Even though I am dizzy I love and accept myself.  She could not get those words out, tears coursed down her cheeks. 

Rather than continuing in that vein, I just had her do the basic tapping of this dizzy feeling.  Another round of remaining dizzy feeling and a deep breath had her calm enough to stop the tears and admit to feeling better.  In the 20 minutes I was in the store I saw her go from nearly passing out and in obvious emotional distress to smiling and waving a thankful goodbye to me from the cash register.

Of course EFT has been an enormous benefit to my physical and mental wellbeing as well as to those with whom I've shared it over the years.  I just had to share these obvious and amazingly quick results.
