Surrogate tapping for a severe finger injury rapidly reduces pain and avoids a trip to the Emergency Room

Hi Everyone,

Here's a simple use of surrogate EFT by Elisabeth Clark that rapidly improves a dramatic injury. Although this injury is not sports related, just imagine using EFT in this way on injured athletes. Early recovery means a lot to athletes, sports teams and their owners.

Hi Gary,

This EFT experience happened several years ago, and was my first attempt at surrogate tapping.  My husband was completely skeptical about EFT, and would not have been willing to have me tap for him, or to tap on himself in normal conditions.  This was an emergency late at night on the Fourth of July. This a classic example of "Try EFT on Everything"

We were returning home from a community fireworks display.  My husband got out of the car and somehow got four fingers of his right hand jammed into the opening between sections of our (manual) garage door.  It felt like an eternity, but probably only 20 or 30 seconds elapsed until we could get his hand freed from the closed garage door.  All four fingers at the top joint were white, flatter than usual, and he was in great pain.

We ran to the kitchen and I called Tele-Nurse to see if he should go to the emergency room.  In the meantime, he ran his fingers under cold water.  I put my left hand on his left arm to help him feel grounded and centered.  I began tapping out loud with my other hand.  Here are the statements I remember:

Even though I am in shock…

Even though I don't want her to tap on me…

Even though I don't believe tapping could possibly help me…

Even though I can't believe I did such a dumb thing…

Even though I use my right hand all day every day in every kind of work I do…

Even though I'm worried that I might have crushed bones…

Even though I'm scared about having long-term damage from this…

I kept tapping as long as he was standing at the sink with his hand under cold water, which was at least 15 minutes.  The Tele-Nurse didn't call back for 90 minutes (probably due to the holiday).  My husband answered the phone.  He told the nurse that the color had returned to his fingers, that the size and shape of each finger had come back to normal, and that there did not seem to be any bruising.  They both agreed he didn't need to go to the emergency room.

He never did get any bruising.  The next day his fingertips were slightly tender, but he could use his hand for all normal functions.  He was rather amazed by this.  I credit tapping for these great results.
