Hi Everyone,

Here are some interesting EFT tips and insights from Sindy Katayama of the Czech Republic.

I have some thoughts about the causes of physical pain.  Basically there are two kinds of pain. The first one is caused by a mechanical problem.  And the second one is caused by unresolved emotion. In your newsletter are many cases where EFT helps with the pain.

I was wondering about the cases when you break your leg, it heals perfectly but you keep having a pain or are not able to use the leg as you did before.  A few months ago I had a man coming to my office with different problems.  When we were at the end of the session I asked him if there was something else that he would like to improve.  He said he would like to be able to move his hand and shoulder the way he did before he had an accident but that I could not help him with that.

He was a passionate golf player and then one day he had an accident and his left shoulder was badly broken. It took many operations to get it fixed.  Doctors even had to cut a piece of his muscle on his left arm.  It was 3 years ago.  He has not been able to play golf since.

I asked him to move his arm to the spot where it started to hurt.  He did and estimated the level of intensity of the pain at 7 out of 10.  We tapped and after the first round he moved his left arm saying, “You see … It can't help … the piece of my muscle is missing and … what the hell … what is this???” and he was moving his arm all the way around and back and forth and around again (I love these kind of client reactions!).

He could not understand what magic!  It was not such a surprise for me though.  It is quite a common experience with EFT that pain disappears.  What I wanted to point out on this case is that it seems to be one more reason for physical pain.  The forgotten program!  The problem is already gone, but somehow our bodies forget to cancel the unwanted program about pain.

When we get into an accident or some very stressful situation, our body kind of zooms out.  We get into an altered state of mind, we are not fully conscious and it seems as if our body doesn’t get the correct information about time.  Then later we regain full consciousness and we heal but still have pain.  The body still operates as if it were in the original stress situation using the old pain program. This could explain why even a 10 year old pain disappears with EFT in minutes and never comes back.

The other factor which often helps to support the body in using this old pain program is the doctor’s declaration about the physical condition.  They often affirm the patient that he will not be able to use the arm or leg … that it will never be like before … and they will have to get used to the pain.  This suggests another area for tapping when working with physical issues … to find out what the doctor said about IT!
