Using EFT Immediately after an accident

Here's a case by Mara Protas, RN illustrating EFT's important use right after an accident. Not everyone thinks to do EFT under such circumstances but, when you do, the benefits can be substantial.

By Mara Protas, RN

Dear Gary,

I want to share a story that might help others. I was recently rear ended on my way to work. I stopped for a school bus and the woman in the car behind me didn't. I had quite a lot of damage to my car, and hers was even worse. The impact was enough to make her airbags inflate.

As I was waiting to have my car towed, I started to feel my lower back tighten up, and so I tapped:

"Even though I have this low back pain, I deeply and completely accept myself and I ask my back muscles to stay relaxed and flexible."

Even though I have had sore muscles after previous accidents and I'm afraid it will happen again, I choose to have my back and neck muscles remain relaxed."

I also tapped for:

"Even though I am feeling guilty because I made a sudden stop and her insurance is going to get stuck with the bill, I deeply and completely accept myself."

On the points ..."this tension and guilt in my back" followed by "I choose to have my back muscles be relaxed and flexible"

I had absolutely NO PAIN OR STIFFNESS at all after that point. My boss called me the next day to offer physical therapy hot packs or massage and was surprised when I told her I was fine.

The other driver was really shaken up and I also tapped with her for that and the chest discomfort from the airbag hitting her. The pain was a 0 when I left her (down from a 6), and she had stopped crying and was calm. I don't know how she was the next day, but she really appreciated the tapping.

I highly recommend tapping not only for the stressful emotions after an accident, but also as a preventative measure for physical issues. A few minutes of tapping saved me lost work hours and lots of medical bills. I love EFT!
