Introducing EFT to people with multiple sclerosis

EFt Tapping Outdated ImageNote: This is one of 3,000 articles written prior to the updated Gold Standard (Official) EFT Tapping Tutorial™. As a result, it is likely outdated. Hi Everyone,

This brief article by Charmaine Campbell (from Canada) should be useful for anyone introducing EFT to physically challenged groups. She includes (1) the tapping points, (2) our Borrowing Benefits method and (3) imagining the tapping.

Hi Gary,

Recently I gave an EFT talk and demonstration at the local chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in my town and I’d like to share with you my experience.  There were about 20 people who attended, some using walkers, canes and wheelchairs.  I showed them the EFT shortcut technique using the karate chop point for the setup and points on the face, underarm, and top of the head. I chose to do this because many of them have challenges with coordination.  I also showed them how to Borrow Benefits.

Some of them could not tap at all so I told those people to imagine tapping on the points. One lady who has experienced “tightness and spasms” in one arm was amazed at how much her arm relaxed with the tapping, going from a level of intensity of 8 out of 10 to a 1 or 2 out of 10.  Another gentleman who announced afterwards that he was a skeptic told the following story:

He had brought along his painkillers with codeine in case he developed his usual severe pain in his shoulder and arm, which typically would start as a buzzing sensation.  The buzzing started and he decided he would try Borrowing Benefits on this.  He was amazed that the buzzing went away completely and he had no pain.  Another lady got rid of the fear she had from an incident when her father had stalked her.

The group was really appreciative and went away with a diagram of the tapping points so they could continue to do this on their own.  I have offered to go back as a volunteer on a monthly basis to do an evening drop-in session for their clients, and they are looking forward to this.

Love and Light,

Charmaine
