Stairway to Miracles
The Stairway to Miracles

As you know by now, our ascent up The Stairway to Miracles propels us toward our true reality of Oneness. This is where "Everybody Wins" and where there are no such things as losers. There is only joy and a loving thrill for everyone and everything. Approaching that seemingly impossible state is our goal here and, as any observer can see, we are making progress.

However, the world of separation in which we seem to live is filled with trophies, prizes and other accolades for being "better than." That works, of course, for the egos of the winners... and even some non-winners may take some pleasure in heralding the winners. But, on balance, the pursuit of "better than" inevitably leads to a large pool of "lesser thans."

Not ideal.

So I thought of a game that anyone can play where there is only joy and laughter... and where everybody wins. It goes like this...

A group of people get together... I suggest between 5 and 20... to create a story using only the human imagination. One person starts off with "Once upon a time..." and then the next person follows with their addition. The next person adds to that and you keep going through multiple rounds of people until you finally choose to end. In the meantime, many giggles are possible and everybody wins. No losers.

Here's an example of a starting story...

Once upon a time...
There was a 3 legged frog...
Who married a giraffe...
Their children were called gir-frogs...
And, with their long necks and jumping ability...
They could bite God on His toes...
God loved the bites...
And gave all the gir-frogs singing voices like Elvis...
The gir-frogs then created Hound Dogs that lived in Heartbreak Hotels...
And the Hound Dogs became whales and grew humming bird wings...
Jolene [a member of the story-telling group] asked the flying whale...
To take her on a shopping trip to buy...
Underwear for her parakeet...
And then one day...

And so on goes the story. The "rules" can allow anyone to pass when it is their turn to contribute. This makes sure everyone is at ease and not under pressure to "perform." Eventually all players will strengthen their imaginations so they can step outside their normal, limited thinking and add joyfully to the story. This is helpful, indeed, since Oneness is well beyond our normal thoughts.

Here's another example...

Once upon a time...
There was a pink cloud...
Who got together with other clouds...
And rained dirty socks all over New York City...
Homeless people collected the dirty socks...
And tied them together...
And strung them between all the buildings...
So people could use them for transportation...
The Taxis and the Subways went out of business...
And the city was far more efficient...
This became a model for the cities around the world...
And soon the Dirty Sock industry flourished...
People with dirty socks became wealthy...
Especially the homeless people...
And then one day...

And so it goes.

And here's one more...

Once upon a time...
A coffee cup was feeling lonely...
Until it was filled with happy juice...
From a happy tree...
That came from a happy tree jungle...
Where all life joined together into a jungle Oneness...
And giggles were everywhere...
The worms danced...
With the monkeys...
And the moss sang...
The William Tell Overture...
While coffee cup vines...
Grew bananas and chocolate ice cream for everyone...
Then a Sour Faced Monster...
Walked into the happy tree jungle...
And was instantly transformed...
Into a palpitating pear...
And then one day...

And so it goes.

e-hugs, Gary
