Surprising insights than can occur while tapping

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Hi Everyone,

This very useful article by Karen Stock shows us how the EFT tapping process can bring up core issues out of the blue. This can save a lot of detective work. She says, "Right after this tapping exercise, I came to realize that there were many more ‘outside world’ issues that I did not want to see as a kid and that need to get addressed."

Dear Gary,

After reading the article, An optometrist points to emotional impacts on vision by Dr. Murray Rusk I tried the following: I tapped on the Karate Chop point:

What is it that I do not want to see in the world?

What is it that I feel threatened about from the outside world?

After that I clearly heard the word ‘volcano.’  Volcano?  I was surprised because I was expecting some kind of ‘people’ issues.  Then I remembered that I find volcanoes interesting, beautiful and scary.  I tapped a little bit on the word ‘volcano’ and the following information resurfaced.

When we studied Roman history in grade 5, we had to learn about the explosive eruption of Vesuvius that buried Pompeii.  After a few more rounds of tapping on the Vesuvius issue, I remembered that I was instantly scared of Vesuvius with this information.  At that time there were a lot of reports on the radio that the Vesuvius was rather active again and could erupt at anytime.  Again with some more EFT, I remembered that I did not want to look that way into the world and I vowed myself to never go and visit the Vesuvius areas.

As I did some more tapping on the Vesuvius issue, all of a sudden I remembered that we also had to write about the Vesuvius explosion as part of our homework.  I went back into the writing mode about it and to my surprise a nagging pinch in my right shoulder that I have had for many years disappeared within a second.  I have tapped so many times (over the 1 ½ years that I have been learning EFT) on this pinch without results.

I have guessed about what it might be but nothing at all would release it until this ‘vision’ issue came up with the Vesuvius.  My eye-sight has not improved but this annoying nagging and irritating pinch has not come back.  I think that it is gone for good.

Right after this tapping exercise, I came to realize that there were many more ‘outside world’ issues that I did not want to see as a kid and that need to get addressed.  I realized that this will take some time.  Some of them are: Wars with all its destructive and horrible effects on people, animals, and the earth, earthquakes and any kinds of natural disasters, atomic bomb testing explosions, Hiroshima, etc.

I will see what will happen with my eyesight once I will have tapped my way through all of this.
