Hi Everyone,

Some injuries generate such intense pain that the EFT Setup phrases escape your thinking. That's OK because you are so obviously tuned into the problem that wording is usually not necessary. Annie Bathgate gives us a clear example of this in her brief article.

EFT comes in extremely handy, especially if you are like me and are a bit clumsy in your life.  I was cleaning the food pantry one afternoon, emptying out old cans and crackers, all with expired dates.  As I was clearing out the highest shelf of the pantry, I used the top of the refrigerator as a place to store some of these items, including a heavy, oversized can of a powdered mixed drink.

Can you see where this is headed?  I forgot this huge can was on top of the refrigerator.  Later, when I opened the door for a cold drink, this huge weight fell directly on my big right toe, showering me with orange powder.

Standing in awe, shock and pain intensity at a 10 out of 10, my body tried to figure out what to do.  My EFT training kicked in and I immediately started tapping, not worrying about a Setup statement, but just tapping.  After two rounds, I was starting to calm down enough to grab an ice pack from the nearby freezer and set it on my throbbing toe.  I continued tapping for a good 5 minutes.  I was actually able to breathe and feel a bit calmer, so I cleaned up the mess a little bit more and then went to sit down again with the ice pack.

Normally, I would have expected my toe to throb for hours but after ten more minutes of tapping, the pain was almost at a 1 out of 10.  My only wound to show my husband that evening was a very small bruise.  So tap, even when you are unsure of a statement or phrase, it most certainly helps, even a clumsy person like me.
