EFT relieves "Emotional Toothache"

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Hi Everyone,

Claudia Zulker from South Africa developed a toothache whose origin was, to her, clearly emotional. While EFT eventually relieved it completely, the pain got worse during the process. Healing responses often vary, with or without EFT, and it is not uncommon for symptoms to worsen as the body rids itself of toxins.

Hugs, Gary

I recently had an interesting experience, which I would like to share with everyone.

Approximately one week ago I met with a cousin of mine whom I had not seen in a few years. She arrived bearing a gift, which unbeknown to me was about to cause me some emotional upheaval. It was an autobiography published by my father. My father and I have been estranged for many years and I was totally unaware that he had published a book. I was surprised and speechless to say the least.

Curious however about the content I started reading the book. Two days later I developed the most terrible toothache in the back tooth on the upper right hand side of my jaw. Within a short period of time it rated at 10 on the 0-10 intensity scale. Drawing on the knowledge I have accumulated over the years of practicing various healing modalities, I immediately knew that this toothache was directly related to unresolved issues with regard to my father. Although I always believed there where no unresolved issues, I was sooo..... wrong. So I started tapping, using phrases such as: -

Even though......

My father left when I was very young, I love and accept myself

My father was the cause of many tears I cried, I love and forgive him anyway

I believed my father did not love me; I love him and forgive him anyway

I was envious of the new family my father had, I love and forgive myself

Then I used a few "Choices" phrases such as -I choose

To love and accept my father despite what happened

To forgive myself for feeling envious

To forgive myself for feeling angry towards him

To accept him for who he is

I tapped on the above statements for one hour, during which time instead of the pain easing up, the toothache got progressively worse and worse. I remember thinking that this is not how it should be; the pain should be easing up instead it was getting worse.

Eventually feeling quite despondent with this pain I stopped tapping, had glass of water and went to sleep. I managed to fall asleep fairly quickly, however I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. (When our bodies develop a fever, we are releasing anger on an emotional level). I got up to have some water and noticed that the toothache had subsided altogether. A few days have passed since and the toothache has not made a re-appearance.

It is interesting to note how we all release our issues in different ways. I usually find with clients that the effects are immediate, especially with pain relief, in my instance however the pain became worse and the anger was released through a fever during the night. So please never give up on the tapping, it is one of the most precious gifts I have ever received, and pass along to others at every opportunity that presents itself.

Love to all,

Claudia
