EFT calms elderly woman

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Hi Everyone,

Our elderly citizens develop many issues as their minds and bodies deteriorate. Fortunately, as Renee McRandal from Ireland shows us, EFT often helps to relieve them.

Hugs, Gary

By Renee McRandal

"Betty" had submerged her emotions all her life and now, 80 years old and sitting in a wheelchair in a nursing home where she had been for four years, she continued to repeat again and again "I feel sad … I want to cry."  This was from a woman who used to pride herself in saying, "I never cry.” The questioning look in her eyes as she said it gave the impression that somehow she knew the strangeness of what she felt.  This was the background that made the situation even more poignant and pathetic for those who knew her.

I tried to comfort her but she was unreachable.  The nurses said there was nothing they could do as she had already been given her medication and she had been like this every evening for the past week.  She just wouldn't stop.

It was heartbreaking to hear this feeble cry from the heart and, unable to bear it, I thought of my secret sacred weapon – EFT.  I tapped on her, doing one round silently saying the words she couldn't say herself.  She asked me what I was doing.  As there was no point in trying to explain, I said, "I'm just touching you. Is that all right?"  "Of course," she whispered.

When I finished the second round she suddenly announced - in a stronger voice - "I'm not sad.  Who said I wanted to cry?"  She stayed calm for the rest of my visit.  She never repeated this heart-piercing plea during my subsequent visits.

Sincerely, Renee McRandal
