Hi Everyone,

Niki LaMont shares with us these EFT experiences. Among other things, these stories display the value of persistence. Very Important.

Hugs, Gary

Dear Gary,

I'm so excited by all of this, and wanted to share a few success stories (in brief).

I taught EFT to R-------, a 57 year old, dear friend, bipolar. With drugs, Richard's highs were under control, but his lows, the depression, had escalated to the point were he was seriously considering shock treatment as recommended by his doctors. Depression had crippled him and was out to do him in. Three months ago he began tapping for depression twice a day--when he woke up and when he went to bed. He stopped tapping about 11/2 months back, because he no longer felt depressed. Today, I received a note that reads,

"Hi Niki, I've been feeling great still. No depression. I think you've got something going there. All's fine here. Getting lots of pots made (he's a potter). Talk to you soon. Big Hug. Thank you. R-------."

In early February of this year I taught my client, J----- and his wife N---, EFT. J-----'s age 74 and for some time had suffered with a heel that pained him. His doctors had put him through all the tests, etc. and in the end recommended a simple foot exercise and prescribed pain meds which Joe wasn't keen on taking. He wasn't keen on doing EFT either, but because of the work we did in the office together (pain = an 8 with 2 rounds of EFT down to 0), he decided to give EFT a try. So did his wife for her back pain. They weren't religious tappers, but with suggestions about the importance of persistence, they kept after it. Today, they came in for a what I call a check-in and reported: N---'s back just doesn't hurt like it used to, and J-----'s heel hasn't hurt for about a month. In fact J----- quit taking his pain medication and N---'s back to working in their garden.

Amelia came to see me because of a long standing (24 years) water phobia. She is married, they have two daughters and Amelia wanted to learn to swim. She had already scheduled her lessons.

Doing the intake with Amelia, I learned that

a) When she was about 11, a swimming pool incident occurred that in the retelling caused her anxiety level to raise to a 10+,

b) Amelia could stand in water up to her ankles. Any deeper she was in trouble, a 10+,

c) When her husband suggested maybe living on the beach, she couldn't even entertain the thought.

We went to work, using EFT and within 15 minutes Amelia could retell her swimming pool story without anxiety and her fear of water appeared to be gone. Two weeks later, and Amelia is swimming!

She did return twice for work on additional aspects. Both sessions were very short, like 10 minutes of talking and 5 minutes of EFT. She and her husband are truly grateful and amazed.
