Hi Everyone,

Here's an idea from Jane Buckman designed to help those clients who have difficulty saying, "...I deeply and completely accept myself."

Hugs, Gary

Hi Gary,

The EFT process is amazing!  Clients often comment that they have gotten more out of a few sessions of EFT than they got with years of talk therapy.  Here is one small offering that I have found to be very helpful:

When a first time client begins to show anguish in saying the second half of the set up statement, I deeply and completely accept myself, I will have them tag on three words.  The set up statement becomes: Even though I have this problem, I deeply and completely accept myself and my humanness.  I do this when I see or sense that they are having extreme difficulty accepting the phrase either because of guilt, shame, unworthiness, or self-esteem issues around the issue they are presenting.

I have found that as soon as we add "and my humanness," the door of compassion and self-acceptance opens a little and we are then on our way.  Once that is done with the first tapping round you no longer have to continue to add the phrase.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support.
