Dr. Inci Erkin, MD from Turkey has proven to be a creative EFT Practitioner. In this insightful case she applied EFT for her client's insomnia and stayed on the alert for the cause (or core issue) to show up. This "showing up" happens often during EFT sessions. Once the cause was found, EFT handled it easily. Dr. Erkin provides the details below. Please note that English is not her first language. Thus I edited her article for readability but still kept the flavor of phrasing.

Client: 30 years old lady.

Complaint: Couldn't sleep at night and of course she got out of bed tired in the morning.

While doing EFT and tapping around for this insomnia issue, she came upon an emotional crescendo and burst into tears. This core issue had to do with a big fire at their home and wherein her mom was seriously burned and injured. When she saw her mom at the hospital she couldn't recognize her. She resembled a creature and only her mom's voice from within that creature was recognizable.

And when she went to sleep she was always having a nightmare and seeing this hospital room where she saw her mother after the fire. This would wake her up and cause her to stay awake.

Then we began..

Even though I did not recognize my mom at the hospital.... TAP TAP

Even though my mom looked like a creature after the fire....TAP TAP

(Reminder phrase -- creature mom ....creature mom)

Now she sleeps very well, she does not see that dream again and, of course, she is more happy and energetic. ( Mom is OK also, she recovered).
